The Best Cruise Lines for Couples

What says “romance” more than a secluded cruise to a beautiful, far-off destination? For decades, cruises have been considered the ultimate getaway for couples and today, there are many different cruise lines that cater to the idea of a romantic vacation. Here are some of our PHL Airport parking members’ favorites:

Celebrity

Celebrity cruises are known for their primarily adult audience, which means you won’t have to worry about maneuvering around families with children. In addition, you’ll find a variety of experiences geared specifically towards couples, from wine bars to dance lessons to massages to double pool loungers and more.

Princess

The ships in Princess’ Grand class have successfully blended big-ship options and small-ship coziness, making them a great choice for couples. Whether you choose the Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, or Ruby Princess, you’ll find private top-deck lounges, movie theaters, romantic restaurants, and even stargazing.

Holland America

If you love excursions, Holland America’s are geared towards adults. You’ll find things like animal encounters, bike tours, and even helmet diving to keep you entertained. And on-board, you can enjoy cooking classes for two, couples spa treatments, and a variety of romantic restaurants for dinner.

Windstar

For a different kind of cruise, check out Windstar’s Wind Surf ship. This half sailboat-half cruise ship carries around 300 passengers and mixes the entertainment, dining experiences, and excursions of a cruise ship with the secluded romance of a sailboat. Best of all, its small size means trips to exclusive ports that don’t appeal to large ships.

Cunard

Cunard’s cruises cater to couples in their 50s and older, which means their ships have more of an upscale vibe. You can easily spark some romance with a ballroom dance class, wine tasting, themed gala, afternoon tea, and more. You’ll also find secluded dining areas and luxurious lodgings as you sail to a variety of destinations.

Regent Seven Seas

Regent’s Seven Seas Explorer has been called “the most luxurious ship ever built” and features all balconied suites, gourmet cuisine, and some of the best all-inclusive options around (including drinks, excursions and pre-cruise hotels). You’ll also find a cozy observation lounge, cooking classes, couples spa treatments, and more.
