The Top 100 Airlines and Airports of 2015

Recently, Skytrax (“the world’s most comprehensive Air Travel Review and Airline Ratings website”) released its annual “Top 100 Airlines & Airports” list. The rankings were determined using a global passenger survey and airlines and airports were rated based on the quality of customer experience.

Regarding airlines, survey takers were asked about products and services both on the ground and in the air; for airports, they were asked about check-ins, transfers, arrivals, security, immigration, departure, and shopping.

Of the 320 airlines and 550 airports assessed, these are the top 100 in each category:

You’ll notice that when it comes to airlines, Virgin America ranked the highest among U.S. airlines, however, it wasn’t listed until number 26. In addition, the very first U.S. airport to make it to the top 100 list was Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, but it wasn’t listed until number 30. These rankings tell us that foreign countries are much better at pleasing customers when it comes to the world of flight. Maybe one day, we’ll see an American airline or airport ranked #1… but only time will tell.
