The Newest Destinations Coming to PHL

Travelers using Philadelphia International Airport now have even more opportunities for travel! In the last three months, PHL has added a variety of destinations to its list. Frontier Airlines, American Airlines, and Spirit Airlines all have plans to expand their presence at PHL - here’s where they’re going:

Frontier

Those who want to explore Montego Bay, Jamaica or Sarasota, Florida will be able to do so this winter, according to Frontier. The airline is beginning non-stop service between PHL and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) on December 10, 2023 and non-stop service between PHL and Sangster International Airport (MBJ) on February 10, 2019.

Frontier is actually the only airline to offer non-stop service between PHL and SRQ and only the second airline to offer non-stop service between PHL and MBJ.

American

In July, American Airlines began non-stop service from PHL to Mexico City International Airport (MEX), making the destination the first Latin American capital serviced from Philadelphia. Travelers will now be able to fly the 4-hour, 15-minute flight daily.

In addition, PHL Airport parking travelers who want to visit Europe will also be happy to learn that American Airlines is offering seasonal service to four new European cities: Berlin, Germany; Bologna, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Edinburg, Scotland. Flights will begin next year and the seasonal service will be as follows:

  • PHL to Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL): June 7, 2023 - September 28, 2023
  • PHL to Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ): June 6, 2023 - September 28, 2023
  • PHL to Dubrovnik Airport (DBV): June 7, 2023 - September 27, 2023
  • PHL to Edinburgh Airport (EDI): April 2, 2023 - October 26, 2023

American Airlines’ Edinburg service is actually the result of the airline relocating the route from John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport to PHL.

Spirit

Beginning in December, budget carrier Spirit Airlines will offer non-stop service to two new destinations in Florida: Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Fort Myers Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). The service will begin December 13th and 14th, respectively.

With so many new destinations to choose from, where will your next flight be to? Wherever it is, we encourage you to make a PHL Airport parking reservation with Winner. We’ll keep your car safe while you enjoy an exciting vacation to somewhere new.
