These Luxury Hotels Are Focusing More on Health

These days, travelers are focusing more on staying healthy while on vacation or a business trip. While many are fine with getting a workout in at a hotel gym or starting their morning with some yoga in their room, others are looking for a more health-focused hotel experience. Because of this, luxury hotel brands have begun designing specialty rooms for health. Here, our PHL Airport parking company shares some of the newest offerings:

The Park MGM, MGM Grand, and The Mirage

Where: Las Vegas, Nevada

Specialty: Stay Well Rooms

A trip to Las Vegas can be tiresome, which is why three of the most popular hotels in Sin City have created Stay Well Rooms. Guests can sleep better and increase their energy with personalized circadian lighting (to combat jet lag), aromatherapy, and air purification systems. In addition, they’ll find a shower infuser to reduce the chlorine content in the water and non-toxic products for wellness.

NIZUC Resort and Spa

Where: Cancun, Mexico

Specialty: Three-day “Be Well” package

Want a more personalized wellness escape? The NIZUC Resort and Spa boasts reflection pools, a meditation garden, treatment rooms, a fitness center, and more. Guests can book a personalized three-day wellness package that includes meditation, yoga, personal training, paddle boarding, guided stretching classes, hydrotherapy, massages, and even a juice bar.

The Ritz-Carlton

Where: Georgetown, Washington D.C.

Specialty: Wellness Rooms

Last May, this boutique hotel transformed 13 of its 86 rooms into Wellness Rooms that are conveniently located on the same floor as the gym and the spa. Here, travelers can focus on comfort, fitness, and relaxation with aromatherapy bath salts, sound and sleep machines, yoga mats, showers with Vitamin C water, air purifiers, sleeping masks, exercise balls, and noise-canceling machines.

Hilton Head Health

Where: Hilton Head, South Carolina

Specialty: Holistic Retreats

Hilton Head Health is one of the top wellness retreats and weight loss resorts on the East Coast. It offers a three-day or four-day holistic retreat program for those who want to focus on eating well, fitness, and relaxation. These programs include fitness classes, spa treatments, wellness education, outdoor excursions, and healthy meals that use fresh ingredients with a focus on being low-calorie, high-fiber, and nutritious.

Woodstock Inn & Resort

Where: Woodstock, Vermont

Specialty: Spa Rooms

This luxurious hotel recently underwent a $16.5 million redesign and during the redesign, eight Spa Rooms were created with health-driven features. The rooms are painted in blue hues with soft, comfortable beds dressed in eco-friendly linens and spa pillows. In addition, guests will find large bathrooms with personalized waterfall fixtures, tea and tea kettles, yoga mats, sleeping masks, and relaxing bath products.

Hotel Zetta

For a hotel that focuses more on modern amenities, head to this boutique luxury hotel in San Francisco. Five of its 116 guest rooms have been transformed into Enlightened Rooms, where guests can enjoy environmentally friendly mattresses and bedding, nutritional snacks, air purifiers, and meditation cushions and headbands. There is also a fitness center that hosts regular classes.

Carmel Valley Ranch

Where: Carmel-by-the-Sea, California

This unique resort aims to give guests a healthy “summer camp” experience with indoor-outdoor guest suites, treetop suites, a spa, a four-acre vineyard, pools, and an infinity hot tub. Here, guests can enjoy planned activities like golf, tennis, group hikes, archery, and kite-building. The resort also has gym amenities that include yoga, barre strength, indoor cycling, Pilates, BodyPump, circuit training, meditation, and more.
