Snacks Are Back for United, American Airlines

There’s good news for travelers who often take short, domestic flights and wish they had a little something to snack on - snacks are back for all three of the U.S.’s major airlines. Now, those who fly Economy on Delta, United, and American Airlines can enjoy a complimentary snack and drink during their flight.

American Airlines

During flights over 250 miles, American Airlines travelers can enjoy free mini pretzels or Biscoff cookies and free non-alcoholic drinks like juices, soft drinks, coffee, water, and more. If you want something with a little more substance, you can always purchase sandwiches, wraps, or snack boxes.

United Airlines

Depending on the time of your flight, United Airlines customers can enjoy a free stroopwafel (a Dutch caramel-filled waffle), Asian-style snack mix with sesame sticks, wasabi peas, and rice crackers, or a ranch-style snack mix with mini pretzel sticks, corn sticks, and ranch soy nuts. United also offers complimentary non-alcoholic beverages like soft drinks, coffee, juice, and more.

Delta Air Lines

Delta is actually the only U.S. airline that never got rid of its complimentary snacks, so travelers can continue to enjoy free mini pretzels, peanuts, or Biscoff cookies as well as drinks like Starbucks coffee, water, soft drinks, juices, and more. Snack boxes with chips, crackers, meats, and cheeses are also available for purchase.

As always, those in business class or first class will also receive complimentary snacks and drinks, however, they’re a little more advanced (such as chips, candy, fresh fruit, wine, or beer). No matter what airline you’re flying on, don’t forget to make your Philadelphia Airport parking reservation with us! We’ll keep your car safe while you’re away so you’ll never have to worry about theft or damage.
